DDSL New Age Decision September 2011

All Small Sided Club Secretaries received a text message during yesterday informing them of some alterations which need to come into effect this September in order to make the transition easier on

players next September.

Basically - the new rule which was voted in at an EGM of the FAI earlier this month will have an inpact on our teams for the following reasons.  All teams will skip an age groupfrom nextSeptember

2011.  ie  our under 9 teams playing September 2010 to June 2011 will miss out on the u10 divisions and will go immediately into playing under 11 football.  So they skip playingin under10 football.

We have decided to let the under 9's of this coming season play 9 a side football. Any other alterations for this age group will be decided in the near future (whether they play25 mins or20 mins and

how many teams in each division).
